Helpmate’s Endowment and Legacy Society
A gift designated to Helpmate’s endowment will provide essential resources for our work year after year. Endowment gifts can support specific aspects of the work such as providing shelter, counseling or court advocacy, or they can support general operations or facilities.
Named endowments can be created to honor or memorialize a loved one and will provide healing and hope in that person’s name in perpetuity. You can create a permanently endowed fund with a gift ranging from $10,000 and above, and payments to establish a fund can be made over a period of several years. The Board of Directors has adopted a comprehensive policy to manage, monitor and administer endowed funds, so you can feel confident knowing that these most generous gifts will be a lasting resource for women and children in need.
If you are interested in honoring a loved one or in considering a legacy gift to Helpmate, we want to work with you to achieve your goals and to make a lasting difference. Gifts of cash or stock can be used to establish a named endowment. We have a wide range of planned gift opportunities that we would be happy to discuss with you. We would also be please to discuss opportunities for permanent recognition within the building and in other ways. Please contact Ann Flynn, Development Director, at 828-254-2968 x11 or Valerie Collins, Executive Director, at 828-254-2968 x13.
