High Tea Fundraiser Hosted by Community Leaders
Helpmate will hold a High Tea on September 14 at Coleman Place, located on the top story of the Chamber of Commerce building. Catering will be provided by Caroline Allured Catering.
Proceeds will benefit Helpmate, which for over 30 years has offered free, confidential services to help battered women and their children recovering from the violence. Guests will enjoy a traditional afternoon tea and hear one woman's compelling story of how she escaped domestic violence.
The Honorable Wilma Sherrill and Annette Coleman are co-chairing the fundraising event. Other community women who have volunteered to host are Susan Andrew, Janice Brumit, Cindy Hamilton, Leah Karpen, Patsy Keever, Heather Lee, Judy Long, Sue McClinton, Brenda Mills, Harli Palme, Donna Pate, Donna Pierce, Robin Ramsey, Michelle Russell, Ceil Sanow, Amy Thomas, Pam Turner and Ann Von Brock.
