Time to Be Thankful
We would like to take a moment to say, "thank you" to everyone who helps us create a community that is free of domestic violence and fear. We have often heard that "it takes a village."
We know firsthand that it takes a community working continuously and to provide services for the women and children who are victims and survivors of domestic violence. As Thanksgiving approaches we are thankful for all of you - our financial supporters, those who bring toiletries and other donations for the women and children in shelter, those who bring a hot meal for shelter residents, those who have 10 pizzas delivered or bring us a batch of freshly baked cookies, those who volunteer to answer the hotline at midnight and who keep us supplied with paper goods, and for all the others that give some way of their time and resources. Thank you for your generosity of spirit and compassion for others.
