Volunteer Spotlight: Vilary LaRue

Villary LaRue joined our volunteer team in September of this year and she has already been a tremendous help to us at our emergency shelter.  She immediately began providing much-needed building maintenance assistance since she possesses skills related to plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair.  When a facility problem or need arises, she offers a solution as well as her time and energy to address it.  Villary has already saved us a great deal of money since we have been able to avoid calling paid technicians to fix some of our facility issues!  The staff of Helpmate is enormously grateful to Villary for her willingness to help us keep our shelter safe and beautiful for those that are escaping abuse and fear.  It has lifted a large weight off of our shoulders to know that we can depend on Villary when we need her!
