Volunteer Spotlight !
Marie McKinley attended our domestic violence orientation in July 2011 in order to assist us with reception work at the front desk of our emergency shelter.
She has been tremendously reliable with this position and has committed to a two hour shift each Monday and Tuesday afternoon. Marie helps with statistical data entry during each reception shift and this is a crucial aspect for our funding reports. Each week Marie works diligently on our court hearing case notes, taking special care to enter this important information accurately. Each year as the end of our fiscal year draws closer, we struggle to enter the data from hundreds of case notes compiled after weekly civil and criminal court hearings. During June and the first week of July, Marie donated a great deal of additional reception hours in order to help us meet this important deadline, sometimes working five to six hour shifts! We are very grateful to Marie for her time and energy. In the last year, she has donated approximately 135 hours of work at the front reception desk! Thank you Marie!
