Volunteer Spotlight - JERI SENOR
Jeri Senor participated in an individual domestic violence orientation and began providing Reception Assistance in May 2011. She then went on to attend the July 2011 volunteer training to pursue Hotline and Court Advocacy service.
By early August, she was taking her own calls on our 24-Hour Hotline and has continued to do this on Monday mornings from her home or our Emergency Shelter each week. When she is at the Shelter taking calls, Jeri assists with statistical data entry when she is not on the phone. Jeri’s primary goal is to pursue volunteer service with our Court Advocacy program in order to assist victims of domestic violence who are navigating the legal system. She began shadowing in the court system in late October and is eager to assist survivors who are trying to obtain Domestic Violence Protective Orders. Jeri has been an amazing volunteer—she is reliable, passionate, self-motivated, and eager to help in any way she can! By the end of October, she had donated over 80 hours of service to Helpmate! We are very grateful to Jeri for her continued support.
